Ready to Step Up Your Tennis Game This Year?
There’s no better time than the start of the year to set yourself up for success. Whether you’re aiming to play more matches, beat your biggest rival, or just finally nail that slice backhand, setting SMART goals can get you there.
What’s a SMART Goal, Anyway?
If you want to ace your 2025 goals, you'll want to make certain they're smart! SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound.
Specific: Know exactly what you’re aiming for. Example: “Improve my volley technique.”
Measurable: Track it. How about, “I want to win 6 out of 10 points at the net in my next match.”
Achievable: Set a goal you can hit with some effort. Maybe improving your second serve points won percentage before spring.
Relevant: Make it matter. Focus on something that’ll improve your overall game.
Time-Bound: Give it a deadline. For instance, “By March, I’ll be winning 2 points on serve per game."
